Nuevo Vallarta Changes - From Dale

There is one thing that we can count on: the property at Nuevo Vallarta continues to change and improve.

The map that appears above offers a glimpse of the placement of the new buildings, waterways and walkways. Keep in mind that the distance from Tower V to the beach is about a half a mile.

Dale's photos were taken between April 27 and May 11, 2013. They a fresh view from Nuevo Vallarta!

We would bet that gljod will have fun seeing Dale's photos. Why? Because duriing gljod's stay a couple of years ago, he saw walkways installed, only to be taken up and replaced by large mounds of earth. He was surprised at the speed with which an apparently finished product was replaced by a brand new and different concept.

The key takeaways from Dale's photos are the following:

• The Mayan Palace Plaza is taking shape. The skeletal structure is in place and the process of finishing out the building is underway or to be underway shortly. (Note: click on the photo to expand and click on your browser's "Back" arrow to return to the page.)

• The Grand Bliss lagoon is gone for now. It will likely be replaced by a man-made lagoon, which is a waterway with a rubberized liner that extends across the entire underwater floor and up all the banks of the lagoon. Remember, there is a waterway that extends into the Grand Mayan pool areas. This will surely be linked in some way to the new waterway in front of the Grand Bliss. Plus, the map suggests the waterway that extends from the SPA pools in front of Tower V could be linked to all the waterways that will extend to the waterway past the Santuario and near the new parking area. We may get our hour and a half wine and cheese boat trip yet.

• The easterly view from the Grand Bliss shows the earthmoving projects in front of the Grand Luxxe Towers III and IV are well underway. From the new map, there appears to be smaller water features and large grassy areas. Golf? Maybe. Stay tuned....

• Speaking of golf, the course appears to be in terrific shape.

• The Punta Pool area is finished and in operation. Views toward the east and west from a Grand Luxxe deck show the river walk taking shape.

• Finally, the items that do not seem to change are the views from the Grand Luxxe.

What a great way to remind us that construction continues but the end product will be amazing. Thank you Dale for sharing your photos with us all.
